Why a sock won

Somnisole began as a much bigger idea: an app-controlled foot massager. We kept making it smaller. Each version removed something that got between a tired person and their own feet, until the only thing left was the part that touches the sole.

The brief became four lines. Nubs on every reflexology zone. Breathable and barely felt. Wearable all night. And a few nubs on top of the foot, so one foot can work the other.

A foot rub with nobody attached

The best version of this already exists: someone who loves you rubbing your feet until you fall asleep. It is also rare, short, and over the moment they get tired.
